Giving

There are approximately 25,000 Veterans in Lynchburg and the surrounding area, and many need help.  Over the past four years, we have been dealing with veteran issues in our community and I want you to know that your donations have brought about a positive change.  Because of your generous support, The Lynchburg Area Veterans’ Council has been able to provide:

  • Disabled veteran transportation to VA medical appointments
  • Contributions toward electrical/gas/utility bills for WWII and Korean War Veterans
  • Housing for Homeless Veterans
  • Food, clothing, baby formula, household items, heating/cooling appliances, for veterans in need
  • Assistance with filing claims to the Veterans Administration
  • PTSD treatment to bring hope to veterans in despair

The LAVC is an all-volunteer organization with 90% of donations going directly back to veterans and their family members. We help our local area veterans from homelessness to home repair and provide financial benefits, counseling and other essential services to help them rebuild their lives.

Please consider becoming an annual sponsor of the LAVC by donating yearly at one our four levels.

Level 1: $200 to $1,999
Level 2: $2000 to $2999
Level 3: $3000 to $3999
Level 4: $4,000 and over

No amount is too small or too big, and all individuals/organizations over $2000 will have their names/logos on all on all media and veterans activities for that year.

The Lynchburg Area Veterans Council is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, which means that all donations are tax deductible.
